Dance in the 1st World Forum for Solidarity Economy
Music dance and culture are part of the event in social forum in Santa Maria RS, Brazil. During the Fair, a festival of shows by artistic groups from all over Brazil took place. Here are the rythms of the Obù Oja group from Hortolandia in S.Paulo, a project working on youth of afro-descendents for self-esteam and celebration of their tradition. Following them are the Raizes Americanas of Chico Sosa and his hip-hop group.

WSF 2009 Peaceful McDonalds Demonstration
This clip shows a peaceful demonstration at the local McDonalds in Belem. Participants in the ceremonial march stopped here to show that imperialistic corporations such as McDonalds and Coca-Cola are in opposition to the anti-globalization ideals of the World Social Forum. The demonstration took place peacefully, with many of the participants singing, dancing, and even blowing kisses at the American fast-food franchise.
